First stop

Upon arrival in Cairo, Your Egyptologist guide will start with one of the Cairo tourist attractions. One of the most famous Cairo sightseeing or Old Cairo. Old Cairo is the oldest place in Cairo, It is called (Masr el Adima) or (Multi-religious compound). Your tour will include the visit to the church of St. Sergius (Abu Serga) where you will see the place where the Virgin Mary and her son rested during their trip to Egypt, then you will visit Amr Ibn El Ass mosque, the oldest mosque in Egypt.

Second stop

After that, you will proceed with your tour to the Egyptian Museum. The present building dates back to 1900 and it had the world’s most comprehensive collection of pharaonic antiquity. It houses approximately 160 000 objects and visiting the Museum will be unbelievable because you will see everything you had read and studied about from childhood and you will be surrounded by thousands of years of history.

You will enjoy the treasures of the boy king Tutankhamon on the first floor but on the ground floor, you will see the stone sarcophagus, statues, stele, and boats. All the big objects placed here on the ground floor. So in general what you will see represent one of the world’s oldest known civilization, dating back as early as four thousand years B.C.

Third stop

Enjoy the lunch in a local restaurant then you will visit another fantastic place where you will see the only wonder from the old seven wonders (Pyramids of Giza). You will visit the famous 3 pyramids of king Chufu-Chephren-Mecrinus and you will then end your tour with the valley temple of the king Chephren (called mummification temple) and the great sphinx. If you will have time later, you will stop for some shopping then you will make your way to your hotel in Cairo. Dinner and free time at leisure till the second day

Hurghada To Cairo tour from Hurghada Day 2

After enjoying the breakfast at your hotel, you will start a full-day tour to a fantastic place where you will breathe fresh air and have a perfect panorama for the whole Cairo (The Citadel of Saladin) or Qala a Salah Al-din. The fortress built in 7 years between 1176 and 1183 A.D to protect Cairo from the Crusaders on Mokattam hill near the center of Cairo.

There you will have the chance to visit the Mosque of Muhammed Ali or the Alabaster Mosque which was built between 1828 and 1848. Also, you will compare this Mosque as a perfect example of the Ottoman architecture in Egypt and another typical Egyptian architecture Mosque for the king Al-Nasser Muhammed Qalaun dates back to the 14th Century. Endly you can enjoy your free time visiting Qaser El Gawhara Museum or the Military Museum.

The next stop and it is not far from here will be your trip adventure. To reach the place and it is the only access, you have to drive up the narrow steep village streets, passing piles of plastics, metal and food waste on each side of the alleys and people sorting them out seemed like a ride through hell which finally ended at the gate of the monastery at an unexpected, stunning vast open space. Spectacular colored carvings engraved in stone all over the mountains depict scenes of the bible or the cave church.

Second Stop

The monastery of Saint Samaan at the Mokattam hill, the first church was built in 1986 in honor of the Coptic saint Samaan al Kharaz (Simon the Tanner), one thousand years after his miracle and his death; the monastery contains seven churches and chapels hidden in a series of natural caves in the Mokattam hills. The semi-circular auditorium descending into the mountain is awesome and offers to seat for 20000 people.

Khan El Khalili Bazaar

After your adventure, you will take your lunch in a local restaurant then you will go to one of the most famous shopping places in Cairo Khan El Khalili markets or Khan El Khalili Bazaar, in the heart of Islamic Cairo. It is a huge place with many shops filled with unique and exotic items. If you need some souvenirs to bring home for friends or for decoration or anything locally made, you will have thousands of choices here. Just do not forget it is time to use your negotiation skills.
