Marsa Alam to Luxor Day 1

Marsa Alam to Luxor overnight private trip is your way to enjoy the biggest open-air museum in the world. Luxor or the ancient Thebes was the capital of Egypt for 500 years between 1550 -1086 BC. Luxor is unique because it lies on both banks of the River Nile.

  • The Eastern side is known as the living side where you can see houses, palaces, and all daily life buildings.
  • The Western bank or the city of the dead where you can see everything relate to afterlife like tombs, Pyramids, Mummification temples, Purification temples, and the temples of millions of years.

Marsa Alam to Luxor private two days’ tour starts with a pickup from your hotel with a private air-conditioned limousine to Luxor. It takes like 4 hours driving depending on where is your hotel in Marsa Alam. On the way, you will have a short break where you can have your breakfast, use the toilets (5 L.E) or you can enjoy a typical Egyptian hot drink with a chance to see the Bedouins with their donkeys, sheep, and goats.

Valley of the kings

Upon your arrival in Luxor, you will start your tour to Luxor sightseeing. You will start your tour with your guide from the west bank of the River Nile, Valley of the Kings where you will visit the spectacular tombs of the new Empire Pharaohs. 63 tombs including the tomb of the very famous king Tutankhamon which is the only one found intact.

Valley of the kings was the royal burial tombs for the great pharaohs like Merenptah, Ramses IV, Seti I, and Ramses II. Your guide will recommend for you the most beautiful opened 3 tombs for the entrance ticket. for example, nowadays you can visit KV 2 or the tombs of Ramses IV, KV6 Ramesses IX, and KV9 Merenptah. Kindly notice that there are three more tombs is an extra charge, Tutankhamen (300l.e), Ramses V & Ramses VI (150 l.e) and Seti I (1400l.e).

Hatshepsut temple

After the Valley of the Kings, you will visit Hatshepsut temple, the only woman ruled Egypt for about 23 years around 15 00 BC. Hatshepsut dug a tomb in the valley of the kings as a female pharaoh, she erected Obelisks in the Karnak temple, she sent trading expeditions to punt and the economic situation flourished in her time and she built her unique temple on the west bank of the Nile River.

Colossi of Memnon

Last stop on the west the Colossi of Memnon, the gigantic statues of king Amenhotep III that was once standing in front of his mortuary temple.

Lunch

Enjoy the Lunch in a local restaurant with a Nile view. Then you will go to your hotel in Luxor to check-in then free time till dinner.

Luxor City tour

Evening, you will have the chance to go for a city tour with Horse carriage as optional and walking like one hour with your guide through the Souk and set in normal Egyptian café for Egyptian drink and smoke Shisha or spend the night at leisure in your hotel.

Luxor to Marsa Alam Day 2

Enjoy your breakfast at your hotel then head to Karnak complex or Karnak temple. The temple is the biggest temple ever known in mankind’s history. You will need to balance your body, heart and soul in a harmonically way to listen from your guide about the miracles of the construction of the temple and the technique they used to cut the hard stones and transporting them through the Nile, the erecting of the obelisks which weight sometimes 300 tons tell stories about all kings and queens.

Meanwhile the first Peace Treaty in history between the great Pharaoh Ramses II and the Hittites tribes in Syria, the sphinx avenue and it’s meaning and function. Such a pile of information we will never have the time to tell them but we promise to do our best to cover the most important parts of the temples. You will have your lunch in a local restaurant before your Marsa Alam to Luxor came to end.

Banana Island

Our aim from this trip is to show you that Egypt is not only about amazing temples and monuments but also about the real lifestyle of its farmers and their animals, also to put all the noise of Luxor away as far as you go sailing with your motorboat.

The Banana Island is located on the west bank of the River Nile and it is worth a visit. There you will see all sorts of crops are grown, not only Banana plantation and also you will see some of the farmer’s animals like cows, donkeys, goats and so on.

You may enter one farmer house to see how it is designed from inside and at the end of the tour, you will sit down at a table and you will have the chance to eat freshly packed Bananas as many as you like then you will go back to the motorboat with your guide then back to Luxor.

Cancellation Policy and refunds

Our goal is to provide extensive tours and excursion services and innovative travel products for our guests to ensure they enjoy the best of what Egypt has to offer as a holiday destination but we understand things happen in life and sometimes you have to cancel or change your tour plan. We want to make it as easy as possible to do so we try to make our cancellation policy as good as we can and we divided the cancellation policy into Individual Travelers, groups depending on the high and peak period of the season.

Day Tours and Shore Excursions Cancellation

Cancellation by the clients

Cancellation requests should be sent via fax or emailed to provide the Company with written confirmation that your reservation should be cancelled.
In case you cancel your trip, the following scale of charges will be applied.

  • For daily excursions no cancellation fee ( 0 % cancellation fee ) is charged and a full refund is given if the cancellation is received 12 hours before trip starts.
  • Less than 12 hours before the trip starts a 50% will be charged as a cancellation fee.
  • Additionally, there are cancellation fees on all domestic flights within Egypt. If you cancel a tour at any time, you will be subject to any fees according to airline’s cancellation policy.

Cancellation by Golavita

We reserve the right to cancel a tour at any circumstances but will not cancel a tour less than 45 days before departure, except for Force Majeure, Low Bookings or clients’ failure to pay the final balance, the Company will, upon cancellation, return all monies paid excluding payment for travel insurance or offer an alternative tour of comparable standard. No compensation will be paid to the Client if cancellation is because of Force Majeure or Low Bookings.

All the historical mosques are open for the visit of Muslims/non-Muslims alike like Mohamed Ali Mosque within the Citadel, Amr Ibn El Ass mosque, Ibn Tulun mosque, El Refae mosque, Madrassa of Sultan Hassan and Al Azhar mosque. However, there are protocols which must be followed. Always remember a mosque is a place of prayer and worship for Muslims. It is not a museum.

The answer is between yes and no. in most of the sightseeing it is allowed to take photos and make your trip memorable but there are other places in which you can not take even your camera with you for example Egyptian Museum, Valley of the kings, inside any of the Pyramid, inside the tombs in Sakkara, tombs of noblemen in Luxor, valley of the queens in Luxor.
