Frühmorgens werden Sie von unserem Reiseleiter an der jeweiligen Rezeption für die Fahrt zur ersten Station dem Dendera Tempel, abgeholt.

Mit einem klimatisierten Fahrzeug geht’s los zum Dendera-Tempel, der sich etwa 2,5 km südöstlich von Dendera und 60 km nördlich von Luxor am Westufer des Nils befindet.

Der Dendera Tempel ist einer der jüngsten und am besten erhaltenen Tempel Komplexe in Ägypten welcher der Göttin Hathor gewidmet wurde. (der Göttin der Mutterschaft, der Schönheit, der Sexualität, der Liebe, der Freude, der Harmonie, des Tanzes und der Musik). Der von Ptolemaios VIII. Und Königin Kleopatra II. erbaute Tempel wurde später vom römischen Kaiser erweitert. Die Griechen verehrten die Göttin Hathor als Aphrodite.

Dendera war zur Blütezeit ein Heilzentrum, vergleichbar mit einem griechischen Asklepios oder dem katholischen Lourdes. Die einzigartigen Szenen im Dendera Tempel, wie die riesigen Schnitzereien an der Rückwand von Kleopatra mit ihrem Sohn Caesarion, dem Sohn von Julius Caesar, die Hathor und allen anderen Gottheiten von Dendera Opfergaben bringen, erzählen die Geschichte der damaligen Ära. Wie die faszinierendsten Szenen, die die Dachkapelle schmücken, die Osiris gewidmet ist, oder die als Dendera Tierkreis bekannte Abbildung, eine Nachbildung des Originals, das jetzt im Louvre in Paris ausgestellt ist.

Unter den vielen anderen Bauwerken des Dendera Tempel Komplexes befinden sich die Überreste einer christlichen Basilika aus dem 5. Jahrhundert, ein hervorragendes Beispiel für die Architektur der frühen koptischen Kirche, der heilige See und die Mammisi oder (das Geburtshaus Geburt von Ihy, dem Sohn des Horus und Hathor).

Abydos Tempel – Königsliste von Abydos

Abydos war bereits seit den frühen Dynastien ein wichtiges Zentrum, in dem Gräber von Königen der Ersten und Zweiten Dynastie entdeckt wurden. Hier liegt der berühmte Abydos Tempel auch als Seti Tempel bekannt.

Der Seti Tempel in Abydos wurde während der Regierungszeit von Pharao Seti begonnen und von seinem Sohn Ramses während der neunzehnten Dynastie des Neuen Reiches fertiggestellt. Der gut erhaltene Tempel ist einer der wertvollsten archäologischen Stätten und verfügt über eine der vollständigsten Königslisten, die Königsliste von Abydos genannt wird. Sie stammt aus der 19. Dynastie und zeigt, wie der König Seti mit seinem kleinen Sohn (später Ramses zweiter) Opfergaben vor einer Liste von Kartuschen von 76 Königen in chronologischer Reihenfolge ablegte .

Im Abydos Tempel entdeckte man zudem eine Abbildung eines Flugobjektes das einem Helikopter gleichkommt (The Helicopter Mystery) dessen Existenz zur damaligen Zeit bis heute noch ungeklärt ist.

Der Abydos Tempel gilt als Begräbnisstätte von Osiris und ist bis heute ein Wallfahrtsort für spirituelle Reisende. Hier können Sie das Osireion besuchen, ein Kenotaph, der zu Ehren des Gottes Osiris erbaut wurde, sowie einen Tempel, der von seinem Sohn Ramses dem Heiligen gebaut wurde zwar nicht so gut erhalten, aber trotzdem interessant, da es die Schlachten dieses Pharaos zeigt.

In einer Pause nehmen wir das Mittagessen in einem lokalen Restaurant ein, bevor wir unsere Rückfahrt von der Dendera und Abydos Tagestour ab Luxor beginnen und Sie zurück nach Luxor zu Ihrem Hotel oder Nilkreuzfahrtschiff fahren.

We want to make it as easy as possible to do so we try to make our cancellation policy as good as we can and we divided the cancellation policy into Individual Travelers, groups depending on the high and peak period of the season.

Day Tours and Shore Excursions Cancellation

Cancellation by the clients

Cancellation requests should be sent via fax or emailed to provide the Company with written confirmation that your reservation should be cancelled.
In case you cancel your trip, the following scale of charges will be applied.

  • For daily excursions no cancellation fee ( 0 % cancellation fee ) is charged and a full refund is given if the cancellation is received 12 hours before trip starts.
  • Less than 12 hours before the trip starts a 50% will be charged as a cancellation fee.
  • Additionally, there are cancellation fees on all domestic flights within Egypt. If you cancel a tour at any time, you will be subject to any fees according to airline’s cancellation policy.

Cancellation by Golavita

We reserve the right to cancel a tour at any circumstances but will not cancel a tour less than 45 days before departure, except for Force Majeure, Low Bookings or clients’ failure to pay the final balance, the Company will, upon cancellation, return all monies paid excluding payment for travel insurance or offer an alternative tour of comparable standard. No compensation will be paid to the Client if cancellation is because of Force Majeure or Low Bookings.

• Non-Catholics can enter the Vatican and non-Christians are welcomed at churches around the world. While not all the holy mosques of Egypt are off-limits to non-Muslims. All the historical mosques are open for the visit of Muslims/non-Muslims alike like Mohamed Ali Mosque within the Citadel, Amr Ibn El Ass mosque, Ibn Tulun mosque, El Refae mosque, Madrassa of Sultan Hassan and Al Azhar mosque. However, there are protocols which must be followed. Always remember a mosque is a place of prayer and worship for Muslims. It is not a museum.

The answer is between yes and no. in most of the sightseeing it is allowed to take photos and make your trip memorable but there are other places in which you can not take even your camera with you for example Egyptian Museum, Valley of the kings, inside any of the Pyramid, inside the tombs in Sakkara, tombs of noblemen in Luxor, valley of the queens in Luxor.
