Day 1 (Cairo – St Cathrine)
St Cathrine overnight from Cairo starts after breakfast at your hotel in Cairo or Giza then our representative will pick you up with an air-conditioned vehicle to St Cathrine. It takes about 10 hours and upon arrival, you will check- in your hotel in St Cathrine. You will have your dinner then enjoy free time at leisure.

Moses Mountain
Early morning around 02:00 A.M your guide will pick you up from your hotel with your breakfast boxes to St Cathrine. Upon arrival, you will start with your Bedouin guide climbing Moses Mountain to enjoy an unforgettable view for the sunrise from the top of the mountain. Moses Mountain is one of the highest mountains in the Sinai peninsula, it’s about 2285 meters high. You will take like 02:30 hours or a maximum of 3 hours to reach the top of the mountain following the path of Moses.
On the way down you will follow stairway out of 4 000 steps or the same way you took on the way up. After the visit, you will have your breakfast in a nearby restaurant.
St Catherine’s Monastery
After breakfast, you will continue your visit to St Catherine’s Monastery which is considered to be one of the oldest monasteries in the world. It was built by the emperor Justinian in 530 AD.
The monastery has one of the most important libraries which had some old and rare manuscripts beside the great church and the Fatimid mosque, monk’s cells, burning bush and grain stores.
After exploring the fascinating St Catherine’s Monastery, you will make your way back to your hotel where you will take your breakfast and be ready for the trip back to Cairo.

We want to make it as easy as possible to do so we try to make our cancellation policy as good as we can and we divided the cancellation policy into Individual Travelers, groups depending on the high and peak period of the season.
Day Tours and Shore Excursions Cancellation
Cancellation by the clients
Cancellation requests should be sent via fax or emailed to provide the Company with written confirmation that your reservation should be cancelled.
In case you cancel your trip, the following scale of charges will be applied.
- For daily excursions no cancellation fee ( 0 % cancellation fee ) is charged and a full refund is given if the cancellation is received 12 hours before trip starts.
- Less than 12 hours before the trip starts a 50% will be charged as a cancellation fee.
- Additionally, there are cancellation fees on all domestic flights within Egypt. If you cancel a tour at any time, you will be subject to any fees according to airline’s cancellation policy.
Cancellation by Golavita
We reserve the right to cancel a tour at any circumstances but will not cancel a tour less than 45 days before departure, except for Force Majeure, Low Bookings or clients’ failure to pay the final balance, the Company will, upon cancellation, return all monies paid excluding payment for travel insurance or offer an alternative tour of comparable standard. No compensation will be paid to the Client if cancellation is because of Force Majeure or Low Bookings.

Is it allowed for non-Muslims to enter historical mosques in Egypt?
• Non-Catholics can enter the Vatican and non-Christians are welcomed at churches around the world. While not all the holy mosques of Egypt are off-limits to non-Muslims. All the historical mosques are open for the visit of Muslims/non-Muslims alike like Mohamed Ali Mosque within the Citadel, Amr Ibn El Ass mosque, Ibn Tulun mosque, El Refae mosque, Madrassa of Sultan Hassan and Al Azhar mosque. However, there are protocols which must be followed. Always remember a mosque is a place of prayer and worship for Muslims. It is not a museum.
Can I take pictures while visiting the monuments in Egypt
The answer is between yes and no. in most of the sightseeing it is allowed to take photos and make your trip memorable but there are other places in which you can not take even your camera with you for example Egyptian Museum, Valley of the kings, inside any of the Pyramid, inside the tombs in Sakkara, tombs of noblemen in Luxor, valley of the queens in Luxor.
