Unser Tagesausflug zur Kairo Altstadt beinhaltet den Besuch des koptischen Viertel Kairos und wir starten am Morgen nach dem Frühstück mit der Fahrt von Ihrem Hotel zu einem der ältesten Stadtteile Kairos El Matariya.

In El Matariya befindet sich der „Baum der heiligen Jungfrau Maria“, eine Platane unter der sich die Jungfrau Maria der Erzählung nach auf der Flucht vor Herodes ausruhte. Von hier aus setzte Sie mit Ihrem Sohn die Reise nach Palästina fort. Der Baum gilt bei den Christen als eine der berühmten Pilgerstätten und zieht jedes Jahr zu Weihnachten viele Pilger an.

Koptischen Kirche El Zeitoun

Dann besuchen Sie die Kirche St. Sergius (Abu Serga-Kirche), dem Ort, an dem sich die heilige Familie während ihrer Reise nach Ägypten ausgeruhten. Abu Serga ist als eine der ältesten Kirchen Ägyptens bekannt und stammt aus dem 5. Jahrhundert. In der Kirche von Abu Serga befindet sich die Höhle, in der die Heilige Familie während ihres Besuchs in Ägypten Schutz suchte.

We want to make it as easy as possible to do so we try to make our cancellation policy as good as we can and we divided the cancellation policy into Individual Travelers, groups depending on the high and peak period of the season.

Day Tours and Shore Excursions Cancellation

Cancellation by the clients

Cancellation requests should be sent via fax or emailed to provide the Company with written confirmation that your reservation should be cancelled.
In case you cancel your trip, the following scale of charges will be applied.

  • For daily excursions no cancellation fee ( 0 % cancellation fee ) is charged and a full refund is given if the cancellation is received 12 hours before trip starts.
  • Less than 12 hours before the trip starts a 50% will be charged as a cancellation fee.
  • Additionally, there are cancellation fees on all domestic flights within Egypt. If you cancel a tour at any time, you will be subject to any fees according to airline’s cancellation policy.

Cancellation by Golavita

We reserve the right to cancel a tour at any circumstances but will not cancel a tour less than 45 days before departure, except for Force Majeure, Low Bookings or clients’ failure to pay the final balance, the Company will, upon cancellation, return all monies paid excluding payment for travel insurance or offer an alternative tour of comparable standard. No compensation will be paid to the Client if cancellation is because of Force Majeure or Low Bookings.

  • 29 – 16 days before arrival date 25% cancellation fee
  • 15 – 08 days before arrival date 50% cancellation fee
  • 07 days before arrival date 100% cancellation fee

Christmas & New Year from 20/12 till 06/01 & Easter holidays from 19/03 till 31 /03

  • 30 days before arrival date 25% cancellation fee

• Non-Catholics can enter the Vatican and non-Christians are welcomed at churches around the world. While not all the holy mosques of Egypt are off-limits to non-Muslims. All the historical mosques are open for the visit of Muslims/non-Muslims alike like Mohamed Ali Mosque within the Citadel, Amr Ibn El Ass mosque, Ibn Tulun mosque, El Refae mosque, Madrassa of Sultan Hassan and Al Azhar mosque. However, there are protocols which must be followed. Always remember a mosque is a place of prayer and worship for Muslims. It is not a museum.

The answer is between yes and no. in most of the sightseeing it is allowed to take photos and make your trip memorable but there are other places in which you can not take even your camera with you for example Egyptian Museum, Valley of the kings, inside any of the Pyramid, inside the tombs in Sakkara, tombs of noblemen in Luxor, valley of the queens in Luxor.
