Karanis Egypt – Fayum Wasserräder

Qarun See
Unsere nächste Station in der Oase Fayum, ist der Qarun See, der 45 Meter über dem Meeresspiegel liegend als der größte See des Landes und älteste natürliche See der Welt gilt. Der Qarun See ist Ägyptens größter Salzsee und obwohl in den letzten tausend Jahren geschrumpft, umfaßt er noch immer ungefähr 215 Quadratkilometer.
Der See war historisch gesehen ein Süßwassersee, aber seit er Drainagewasser aus den Kanälen in Fayum erhielt, wurde er salzig. Der Quran See gilt als ein ausgezeichneter Ort für Wassersportarten wie Windsurfen und Rudern, sowie zum Angeln und zur Vogelbeobachtung. Hier leben unter anderem Schwäne und seltene Falken.

Wadi El Rayan Fayoum
Das Wadi El Rayan ist seit 1989 ein Naturschutzgebiet und beheimatet seltene Wildtiere und etwa 170 verschiedene Vogelarten, Sie finden hier antike römische und pharaonische Ruinen sowie das surreale Tal der Wale. Im Wadi El Rayan gibt es zwei ziemlich große Seen, die durch einen kleinen Fluss und Ägyptens einzige Wasserfälle verbunden sind.

We want to make it as easy as possible to do so we try to make our cancellation policy as good as we can and we divided the cancellation policy into Individual Travelers, groups depending on the high and peak period of the season.
Day Tours and Shore Excursions Cancellation
Cancellation by the clients
Cancellation requests should be sent via fax or emailed to provide the Company with written confirmation that your reservation should be cancelled.
In case you cancel your trip, the following scale of charges will be applied.
- For daily excursions no cancellation fee ( 0 % cancellation fee ) is charged and a full refund is given if the cancellation is received 12 hours before trip starts.
- Less than 12 hours before the trip starts a 50% will be charged as a cancellation fee.
- Additionally, there are cancellation fees on all domestic flights within Egypt. If you cancel a tour at any time, you will be subject to any fees according to airline’s cancellation policy.
Cancellation by Golavita
We reserve the right to cancel a tour at any circumstances but will not cancel a tour less than 45 days before departure, except for Force Majeure, Low Bookings or clients’ failure to pay the final balance, the Company will, upon cancellation, return all monies paid excluding payment for travel insurance or offer an alternative tour of comparable standard. No compensation will be paid to the Client if cancellation is because of Force Majeure or Low Bookings.

Is it allowed for non-Muslims to enter historical mosques in Egypt?
• Non-Catholics can enter the Vatican and non-Christians are welcomed at churches around the world. While not all the holy mosques of Egypt are off-limits to non-Muslims. All the historical mosques are open for the visit of Muslims/non-Muslims alike like Mohamed Ali Mosque within the Citadel, Amr Ibn El Ass mosque, Ibn Tulun mosque, El Refae mosque, Madrassa of Sultan Hassan and Al Azhar mosque. However, there are protocols which must be followed. Always remember a mosque is a place of prayer and worship for Muslims. It is not a museum.
