El Minya Beni Hassan 39 Rock-Cut Tombs

Breakfast will be taken in the hotel then early departure around 07:00 am to El Minya which is 245 kilometers south of Cairo on the western bank of the river Nile. We will start out tour with the thirty-nine rock-cut tombs of Beni Hassan in the limestone cliffs of the Eastern desert overlooking a gentle curve in the River Nile.

At Beni Hassan, you will enjoy the information about life in Egypt 4000 years ago through painted registers on the walls of the tombs, men hunting on the desert edges, barbers, weavers, female acrobats, girls playing ball. More than 200 vignettes of wrestlers portray just about every hold or through that can be imagined. The most impressive tomb is the one of Amenemhet beside the fantastic Khnumhutep the third one which has his autobiography in 222 vertical lines of hieroglyphics plus that one of Baqet. The eighty-meter climb to the tombs is accessible by a donkey or on foot.

El Minya Tuna El Gebel and The Catacomb

Lunch in a local restaurant then ends the day with the tour to Tel Amarna, the capital city of Pharoah Akhnaton who reigned in the fourteenth century B.C.we have to cross the Nile with a motorboat to the East side.  Here he challenges the power of the priests of Amun by instituting the first monotheistic religion in the world. You will visit the royal tomb of Akhenaton and the ruins of the palace and much more then you will be driven back to Cairo.

We want to make it as easy as possible to do so we try to make our cancellation policy as good as we can and we divided the cancellation policy into Individual Travelers, groups depending on the high and peak period of the season.

Day Tours and Shore Excursions Cancellation

Cancellation by the clients

Cancellation requests should be sent via fax or emailed to provide the Company with written confirmation that your reservation should be cancelled.
In case you cancel your trip, the following scale of charges will be applied.

  • For daily excursions no cancellation fee ( 0 % cancellation fee ) is charged and a full refund is given if the cancellation is received 12 hours before trip starts.
  • Less than 12 hours before the trip starts a 50% will be charged as a cancellation fee.
  • Additionally, there are cancellation fees on all domestic flights within Egypt. If you cancel a tour at any time, you will be subject to any fees according to airline’s cancellation policy.

Cancellation by Golavita

We reserve the right to cancel a tour at any circumstances but will not cancel a tour less than 45 days before departure, except for Force Majeure, Low Bookings or clients’ failure to pay the final balance, the Company will, upon cancellation, return all monies paid excluding payment for travel insurance or offer an alternative tour of comparable standard. No compensation will be paid to the Client if cancellation is because of Force Majeure or Low Bookings.

All the historical mosques are open for the visit of Muslims/non-Muslims alike like Mohamed Ali Mosque within the Citadel, Amr Ibn El Ass mosque, Ibn Tulun mosque, El Refae mosque, Madrassa of Sultan Hassan and Al Azhar mosque. However, there are protocols which must be followed. Always remember a mosque is a place of prayer and worship for Muslims. It is not a museum.

The answer is between yes and no. in most of the sightseeing it is allowed to take photos and make your trip memorable but there are other places in which you can not take even your camera with you for example Egyptian Museum, Valley of the kings, inside any of the Pyramid, inside the tombs in Sakkara, tombs of noblemen in Luxor, valley of the queens in Luxor.
