It will be easy to find yourself overwhelmed by the impressive artwork that fills every centimeter of the Museum. Do not be surprised a visitor complained to the first director of the Egyptian Museum Gaston Maspero, that it is too crowded with artifacts. Maspero replied that ancient Egyptian would have liked this.
Egyptian temple was crowded with statues and every available space of a tomb was full of scenes and hieroglyphics inscriptions. So in general what you will see represent one of the world” s oldest known civilization, dating back as early as four thousand years B.C. The treasure of the chronological order from the pre-dynastic period until the end of the Roman period in the ground floor is awaiting your visit, love, and appreciation.
