Tag 1: Abu Simbel

Beginnen Sie den ersten Ihrer 3 Tagesausflüge Assuan mit der Erkundung des Abu Simbel Tempels. Frühstücksboxen sollten eine Nacht zuvor an der Rezeption Ihres Hotels oder Kreuzfahrtschiffes bestellt werden. Unser Guide holt Sie am frühen Morgen mit unserem klimatisierten Fahrzeug ab, um sich vom Ausgangspunkt eines Konvois für den gesamten Tagesausflug nach Abu Simbel anzuschließen.

Die Fahrt geht von Assuan ins 280 km südlich liegende Abu Simbel ungefähr 40 km entfernt von der sudanischen Grenze. Hier werden Sie zwei der schönsten ägyptischen Tempel, den des Königs Ramses II und seiner Frau Nefertari besuchen. Die beiden im ehemals antiken Nubien errichteten Felsentempel brauchten 20 Jahre Bauzeit zur Fertigstellung.

 Abu Simbel Tempel Versetzung

Um den Tempel vor dem aufsteigenden Wasser des Nasser-Sees, der sich hinter dem Assuan-Staudamm bildete, rief die UNESCO im Jahre 1959 zu einer internationalen Spendenaktion zur Rettung der Denkmäler von Nubien auf. 40 Millionen Dollar waren nötig um das Projekt „Abu Simbel Tempel Versetzung“ durchzuführen. Hierzu wurden in mühsamer Arbeit die Tempel in einzelne Blöcke zerteilt, nummeriert und in 4 Jahren Bauzeit von 1964 bis zum Jahre 1968 an der heutigen Stelle, 65 Meter höher und 220 m von Fluß entfernt wieder aufgebaut.

Ihr Frühstück können Sie in einer Pause in der Cafeteria in der Nähe der Tempelanlage Abu Simbel einnehmen.

Nach einer 2-stündigen Besichtigung des großen Tempel Ramses II. und kleinen Tempel Königin Nefertaris kehren wir von unserem 1. Tagesausflug der Reihe: Assuan Ausflüge – 3 Tagesausflüge nach Abu Simbel – Kom Ombo und Edfu zurück.

Tag 2: Assuan Staudamm – Philae Tempel – unvollendeter Obelisk

Der 2. Tag unserer Assuan Ausflüge beginnt mit der Fahrt zum Assuan-Staudamm, der 15 km von Assuan entfernt liegt. Auf dem Weg zum Assuan Staudamm passieren wir den alten Damm, den die Briten im Jahre 1902 errichteten. Bewundern Sie das enorme architektonische Wunderwerk des neu errichteten Assuan Staudamm, welcher die Funktion der Stromversorgung Ägyptens sowie auch die kontrollierte Bewässerung des Nilufers übernimmt.

Vom Assuan Staudamm fahren wir zum Nilufer, um von dort mit Hilfe eines Motorbootes den Nil zum berühmten Philae Tempel zu überqueren. Der Philae Tempel wurde ebenfalls wie viele andere Denkmäler vor den Fluten des Nassersees geschützt und 500 Meter vom aktuellen Standort entfernt wieder neu errichtet.

Die letzte Station unseres 2. Tag unserer Assuan Ausflüge sind die Assuan Granitsteinbrüche, aus denen die Obelisken und Statuen der Tempelanlagen entstanden. Dort befindet sich bis heute der unvollendete Obelisk der Königin Hatschepsut, der eine Höhe von 42 Meter misst.

Von Ihrem Führer erfahren Sie die Technik, wie die Obelisken aus den Felsen gelöst, bearbeitet und wie man sie von den Steinbrüchen zum Nil transportierte um nachher senkrecht wie z. B. im Karnak Tempel aufzustellen.

Das Mittagessen wird während einer Pause in einem lokalen Restaurant eingenommen.

Am Ende der Tour Assuan Staudamm – Philae Tempel – unvollendeter Obelisk bringen wir Sie zurück zu Ihrem Hotel oder Nilkreuzfahrtschiff.

Tag 3: Kom Ombo-Edfu

Nach dem frühzeitigen Frühstück im Hotel beginnt unsere Abfahrt zum Kom Ombo Doppeltempel, der dem Krokodilgott und dem Falkengott Horus gewidmet ist.

Der Kom Ombo Tempel beherbergt eine große Anzahl an interessanten Sehenswürdigkeiten. Hier finden Sie einen Nilometer, mit dem die Wasserstände des Nils angezeigt wurden, die Abbildung eines ägyptischen Kalenders und die Zeichnung an den Wänden (chirurgische Instrumente), welche davon zeugen, das Kom Ombo während seiner Blütezeit als Heilkunde Ort diente.

Besichtigen Sie zudem ein Gebäude in der Tempelanlage welches mumifizierte Krokodile beherbergt.

Von Kom Ombo führt der 3. Tag unserer Assuan Ausflüge nach Edfu. Hier besichtigen wir den Edfu Tempel, einen ägyptischen Tempel aus der Zeit der Ptolemäer, der fast vollständig erhalten ist. Der einzigartige Tempel erzählt die Geschichte von Isis und Osiris und den Kampf zwischen Horus und Seth. Die verschiedenen Schritte beim Bau des Tempels sind klar ersichtlich und entdecken Sie die Art und Weise, der Tempel Beleuchtung.

Von dort aus kehren Sie vom 3. Tag unserer Assuan Ausflüge nach Kom Ombo-Edfu Tempel nach Assuan zurück und der Rest des Tages steht Ihnen zur freien Verfügung.

We want to make it as easy as possible to do so we try to make our cancellation policy as good as we can and we divided the cancellation policy into Individual Travelers, groups depending on the high and peak period of the season.

Day Tours and Shore Excursions Cancellation

Cancellation by the clients

Cancellation requests should be sent via fax or emailed to provide the Company with written confirmation that your reservation should be cancelled.
In case you cancel your trip, the following scale of charges will be applied.

  • For daily excursions no cancellation fee ( 0 % cancellation fee ) is charged and a full refund is given if the cancellation is received 12 hours before trip starts.
  • Less than 12 hours before the trip starts a 50% will be charged as a cancellation fee.
  • Additionally, there are cancellation fees on all domestic flights within Egypt. If you cancel a tour at any time, you will be subject to any fees according to airline’s cancellation policy.

We reserve the right to cancel a tour at any circumstances but will not cancel a tour less than 45 days before departure, except for Force Majeure, Low Bookings or clients’ failure to pay the final balance, the Company will, upon cancellation, return all monies paid excluding payment for travel insurance or offer an alternative tour of comparable standard. No compensation will be paid to the Client if cancellation is because of Force Majeure or Low Bookings.

All the historical mosques are open for the visit of Muslims/non-Muslims alike like Mohamed Ali Mosque within the Citadel, Amr Ibn El Ass mosque, Ibn Tulun mosque, El Refae mosque, Madrassa of Sultan Hassan and Al Azhar mosque. However, there are protocols which must be followed. Always remember a mosque is a place of prayer and worship for Muslims. It is not a museum.

The answer is between yes and no. in most of the sightseeing it is allowed to take photos and make your trip memorable but there are other places in which you can not take even your camera with you for example Egyptian Museum, Valley of the kings, inside any of the Pyramid, inside the tombs in Sakkara, tombs of noblemen in Luxor, valley of the queens in Luxor.
