Tempel von Abu Simbel: Lage

Die Tempel von Abu Simbel liegen 280 km südlich von Assuan und nur 40 km nördlich unserer Grenze zum Sudan. Die Tempel befinden sich am Westufer des Nils und sollten während Ihres Besuches in Assuan unbedingt auf Ihrer Liste der Besichtigungen stehen. Sie gelten als Meisterwerke aller ägyptischen Tempel.

Tempel von Abu Simbel : Seine Entdeckung

Der Schweizer Forscher Johann Ludwig Burckhardt besichtigte den Tempel von Abu Simbel am 22. März 1813.

Rettung Tempel Abu Simbel – Tempel von Abu Simbel Versetzung

Durch eine Zusammenarbeit zwischen der ägyptischen Regierung und der UNESCO wurde im Jahre 1959 eine internationale Spendenaktion zur Rettung der Denkmäler von Nubien einberufen, um den Abu Simbel Tempel vor den steigenden Fluten des neu errichteten Assuan Staudamms zu retten.

Schon damals betrugen die Kosten 40 Millionen Dollar und es dauerte 4 Jahre zwischen 1964 und 1968 bis die Tempelanlage in große Blöcke zerschnitten, nummeriert und demontiert und an ihrer heutigen Stelle rekonstruiert wurde.

Unsere Abu Simbel Tour von Assuan führt zuerst zum großen Tempel von Ramses II, der als Sonnentempel (Sonnenwunder Abu Simbel) bekannt ist, und dann zum kleinen Tempel seiner geliebten Frau, der Königin Nefertari, der als Hathor-Tempel bekannt ist. Der als Großer Tempel von Abu Simbel bezeichnete Tempel wurde vollständig aus einem Felsen herausgearbeitet, wobei außergewöhnliche Reliefs noch gut erhalten sind.

Der Hathor-Tempel oder der beliebte Nefertari-Tempel befindet sich 150 m nördlich des Großen Tempels von Abu Simbel.

We want to make it as easy as possible to do so we try to make our cancellation policy as good as we can and we divided the cancellation policy into Individual Travelers, groups depending on the high and peak period of the season.

Day Tours and Shore Excursions Cancellation

Cancellation by the clients

Cancellation requests should be sent via fax or emailed to provide the Company with written confirmation that your reservation should be cancelled.
In case you cancel your trip, the following scale of charges will be applied.

  • For daily excursions no cancellation fee ( 0 % cancellation fee ) is charged and a full refund is given if the cancellation is received 12 hours before trip starts.
  • Less than 12 hours before the trip starts a 50% will be charged as a cancellation fee.
  • Additionally, there are cancellation fees on all domestic flights within Egypt. If you cancel a tour at any time, you will be subject to any fees according to airline’s cancellation policy.

Cancellation by Golavita

We reserve the right to cancel a tour at any circumstances but will not cancel a tour less than 45 days before departure, except for Force Majeure, Low Bookings or clients’ failure to pay the final balance, the Company will, upon cancellation, return all monies paid excluding payment for travel insurance or offer an alternative tour of comparable standard. No compensation will be paid to the Client if cancellation is because of Force Majeure or Low Bookings.

All the historical mosques are open for the visit of Muslims/non-Muslims alike like Mohamed Ali Mosque within the Citadel, Amr Ibn El Ass mosque, Ibn Tulun mosque, El Refae mosque, Madrassa of Sultan Hassan and Al Azhar mosque. However, there are protocols which must be followed. Always remember a mosque is a place of prayer and worship for Muslims. It is not a museum.

The answer is between yes and no. in most of the sightseeing it is allowed to take photos and make your trip memorable but there are other places in which you can not take even your camera with you for example Egyptian Museum, Valley of the kings, inside any of the Pyramid, inside the tombs in Sakkara, tombs of noblemen in Luxor, valley of the queens in Luxor.
